Wexford County Council have declared the planning application to upgrade the Clohamon Weir Hydro scheme invalid due to issues with the public display of the site notice. Prior to this unexpected development strong objections had been lodged by IFI, The Department of Arts , Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Environment section of Wexford County Council. It remains to be seen whether the application will be resubmitted.
