Just when it seemed that it couldn’t get any wetter heavy rain turned the river a dirty brown on Friday and Saturday the 5th and 6th leaving the lower beats totally unfishable yet again.
Now, as the river looked like it was going to get into order, more rain arrives and YR is threatening 26 to 28mm on Monday.
The conditions haven’t stopped members from landing four or five fish since the start of the month including this beauty landed by Ivor Kenny on 1 April on Tullow Anglers water.

The fresh run fish, estimated to be over 16lbs, took a “Donegal Banana”, a variant on the well known Scandanavian Banana Fly.
There seems to be a run of really decent double-figure fish about – all we need now is some settled weather.
