The SRT webcam
The Trust provides access to a webcam situated below Bunclody when enables members to get a clear view of the water height and conditions. Following a lightning strike in August 2020, the webcam was replaced in March 2021 with funding from the Slaney River Foundation.
With effect from 1 May 2021, access to the webcam will be restricted to members by way of password protection. For the present the password is River4488
Members who have paid their subscription for the current year and provided their email details to the Trust will receive a copy of the password before the protection commences. As and when required passwords will be updated and members informed.
If you find that your password is out of date please email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain an updated password. The Webcam can be seen here.
The OPW provide detailed reports on the river heights shown by their gauges on several rivers across the country. The 5 OPW gauges active on the Slaney can be seen here. The Tullow, Tullowbeg and Scarawelsh gauges are generally the most useful as they are nontidal.
