Following legal agreemnt between the parties the Clonduline wier on the famous Careysville fishery is be removed next year according to a Ministerial press release.

Draft regulations propose catch and release opening on 12 May 2012
Minister Pat Rabbitte has announced the draft regulations governing salmon tags and quotas for 2012. The Public has until 4 December to comment. The proposal for the Slaney is that the river is closed untl 11 May and catch and release thereafter.
