Big water to help kelts back to sea

The consistent high water in the past few weeks should help the kelts make it back to the sea. Although the official figures may not be available for a while the encouraging news is that the 2013 spawning season was one of the best in recent years with substantial numbers of fish cutting redds in both the main channel of the river and the usual spawning tributaries.
