Fisheries Awareness Week runs from 12 to 19 May and IFI’s Stephen Byrne is organising an introduction to fly fishing event for Transition Year students from Gorey Community School. The evnt is taking place at Clohamon on Thursday 17th and Stephen will be assisted by a number of SRT members.
While not on the Slaney well worth noting is that Mark Corp, IFI angling advisor and Glenda Powell are running their annual ladies day introduction to flyfishing on 19 May at Rathcon. This is in aid of Action Breast Cancer. Anyone interested should contact Mark Corp
