A Water Blitz is being organised by the Water Institute at DCU in conjunction with Earthwatch Europe. This event is asking citizen scientists countrywide to sample and test the water quality in their local waterbody for nitrates and phosphates using kits supplied to them when they register for the event.
This could be a great opportunity for any individual or perhaps school or youth group in the catchment to learn about water quality and make a real contribution to our knowledge of what is happening to the river. For registration details see the attached flyer.
