Catches pick up with 4 fish to one rod.

The recent heavy rain has brought a number of good sized fresh fish into the system the largest we have heard of was an 18lber landed by Tom Tynan at Clohamon although he was probably out done by wexford angler Anthony Doran who had 4 fish on Sunday including one estimated at 15 – 16lbs with 2 over 10lbs! Most succesful flies were deep fished tubes.

The encouraging thing is that fish have been caught through out the system with a number landed at Kildavin including  Andy Kelly’s sealiced 10lber.  On the lower river catches were dissapointing especially at Enniscorthy bridge which has had very few fish as it seems that the fish that were holding back waiting for the flood.

Fishing should be good when todays dirty 3 ft flood clears. Please ensure all fish caught are returned as quickly as possible! Rember single barbless hooks only!
