The are reports of 60 to 80,000 1 year old salmon escaping from a Bantry bay based fish farm. If confirmed, it highlights the massive threat to wild salmon fisheries by the proposed expansion of salmon farming. Just imagine if this escape had been from the proposed Mega Galway bay farm!
