This year’s Salmon Watch Ireland (“SWIRL”) conference takes place in Galway on 19 October at the Galway Bay Hotel from 10AM to 4PM. The agenda and tickets which cost €35 are available online .
As well as considering SWIRL’s proposals for Saving the Irish Salmon the conference will be addressed by the Minister, and will have presentations from 3 senior scientists on developments in closed system salmon farming, smolt tracking and the use of DNA analysis all of which may prove critical in the fight to save the salmon. there will be time for open discussions on the topics.
