Sea Trout slowing down

The seatrout fishing has slowed down considerably as you would expect given the fact the trout have been in the pools for several weeks now. As far as salmon go there have been no widespread reports of grilse in the river with only the very occasional springer taking a trout fly. This happened to one angler fishing in the dark on Saturday night when, much to his surprise, a 10lb plus fish took his tiny Peter Ross. It was safely returned after a 20 minute fight on a old cane trout rod. It was his second salmon on trout flies this season. I have just heard that last night (2 days later) he lost a similar fish in the same pool after 15 minutes.
