On 4 April 2014 An Bord Pleanala approved planning for the installation of a new hydrometric weir downstream of Rathvilly bridge. This weir is to enable Carlow County Council monitor river levels in relation to the on going abstraction of water for the North Carlow Regional Water Supply Scheme.The order and associated inspector’s report are attached.
