The Chairman’s review of 2021 has recently been sent to all member’s emails.
While improved spawning and a good spread of fish throughout the system last season are welcomed the review highlights our disappointment with the decision to keep the 1 April opening day despite over 100 representations seeking to move it forward.
It also records frustration with ongoing official delays being encountered in preparing the planning application in relation to the tailrace screen at Clohamon. In light of a bequest specifically focussed on the fish pass issue, the Board intends to revisit the potential for a rocky ramp at Clohamon.
These and other matters will doubtless be discussed at the AGM which is due to be held on the 24th at Bunclody Golf club. Details of the timing of the meeting, agendas and other arrangements including a zoom connection for those who can’t attend in person will be circulated shortly.
