The fishing in the past 2 weeks has been unusual with the river above Bunclody outfishing the lower beats by a significant factor as fish hammered through in the unseasonally high water.
Although it has substantially quietened down in the last few days a number of anglers have had great fishing on the beats above Clohamon up to Tullow with some landing 3 or 4 salmon over a few days while with one or two notable exceptions rods on the lower beats have reported that fish are very scarce.
There is no sign of any significant volume of seatrout on the move yet but it is still very early days yet.
