After the excitement of early last week, the fishing slowed down considerably and the salmon seemed to have headed for the hills despite the water only dropping slowly. Some anglers reported fishing for a full day and seeing nothing in pools where several fish had been met a few days earlier.
However, persistence is always rewarded and at least 4 fish were landed over Easter Sunday and the Bank Holiday Monday including this 12 pounder which was safely back in the water seconds after this go pro photo. The Angler saw fish in several other pools
