Hopes that the seatrout run this year is just a bit late are fading fast as very few seen trout are being seen or caught in the usual places.
On the other hand, salmon fishing over the past few weeks has been reasonable considering the time of year with reports of several rods out in Enniscorthy on most days and reasonable numbers of fish showing. The fresh water yesterday stirred a few resident fish up further upstream and encourage others to move up from the tidal waters including this nice June run fish caught Tuesday night on a size 8 vanbeck.
